Well it has been a while since I've written a post. More than that I can't believe I haven't made a doll since September. Not sure what I have been doing all that time, I guess I just wasn't in the mood with this long and depressing winter. Then there were holidays, birthdays, anniversary and a few health issues. But I seem to have my doll making energy back. I'll see how long that lasts - ha, ha.
I took an online class on Adele Sortino's - A is For Artistic - the doll is "Finding Her True North" by Cindee Moyer. The doll was suppose to be made with a map for her outfit. I bought the map then realized that almost everyone else who makes this doll will use a map, so I wanted mine to be a little different. I understand the significance of the map and finding her north, but I thought her compass that she holds would be enough of a reference. The paper I chose was really pretty, but not thinking ahead I didn't fussy cut the skirt so the birds were in the front, they ended up in the back. But all in all I like the way she turned out.
