Her arms were pinned on and her leg was half sewn on in the group photo of the dolls that I took at the meeting. Well, she is finished now and I just love this doll, she was dressed to perfection from head to toe. I have a pretty small back yard, just a few very large spruce trees where the birds love to nest, they are almost like apartment buildings for birds. Allison designed this little guy as a "Brownie" but it was decided that we would make him as an elf. Someone else in the club made him as a Christmas elf and I really liked that idea because they are going to be hung on a Christmas tree at Howard Hannah in Aurora. I had to move his over-vest closer to the center, or the jacket would have covered it. That was ok as it was just tacked on. Making the jacket was pretty easy, I love the pleats. I put the jacket sleeve cap and crescent on while the jacket was off which made it easier to sew on by hand. Well, the people who had the booth behind the dolls accidentally knocked into the tables and shelves of dolls as they were taking their booth down and a lot of the dolls fell over. And of course the only damage done was to one of my dolls. We had a great time walking up and down the aisles looking at all the beautiful fabrics, trims, fibers and whichevers. There were so many beautiful fabrics I could have gone crazy filling my stash but I was really good. At Cloth Doll Artistry - Santa Studio there is a swap of 3 fat quarters of fabric with your assigned partner then  you have to use that fabric in making a Santa. It was an exhibit of 40 oversized kimonos made of silk and dyed to show flowers or landscapes by Itchiku Kubota.
